I AM TIRED OF THE DAILY COMPARISONS.
I am tired of each insecurity.
I am tired of feeling embarressed.
I am tired of seeing women not see their true beauty!
The world seems to be fueled on the negative perceptions of ourselves.
In our world today, we run wild on our insecurities. They fuel us to power through our days & become a better “YOU.”
Recognizing this breaks my heart, because I do this too.
Our insecurities should not drive us to become a better friend, athlete, teacher, student, nutritionist, waitress, cook, mother or engineer.
The Lord our God – the One who created the Heavens & earth – who gave his life & soul for us, inflicted every depth of pain for our sake – this is WHY we must “better” ourselves.
The way I see it is that if one does not glorify God in a task that they partake in, no matter the case or deed – IT IS A WASTE.
When it comes down to how we perceive ourselves, it seems there is but one easy way women see in the mirror – a negative perception & image.
I daily fight to see the beauty and splendor that the Lord our God created me and all women to be. Though the one question that haunts me is… Does every woman have the knowledge of our flawless outlet?
As the media shoots images in direction of both men & women of what the most ideal way of life and body image must be, our eyes can soon quickly turn away from our perfect heavenly Father.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!”
Lets just be real for a moment…
I love chocolate, peanut butter, ice cream, popcorn & every food that is sweet and salty known to man. I love to watch sappy movies & love the idea of having a man to kiss anytime I want. I love to have girl talks, and I prefer one on ones at Starbucks than a big group setting. I adore my two pump grande sugar-free mocha Americano or Soy Cappuccino – Extra Hot. I like to workout, it brings me joy, and endorphins are pretty great too. Boys are cute & I have a thing for a great smile and pretty eyes. I also have an obsession with this man upstairs, His name is Jesus Christ – He rocks my socks off. Pray to Him – He listenning.
